BUSINESS AVIATION IN CHINA - SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT DURING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS

According to the World Health Organization (WTO) as of 31 Jan 2020, there are 9000+ confirmed cases of Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and 12000 + suspected in China. In view of the current outbreak and the rapid spread on the infected areas, it is important for everyone in the business jet industry to be informed about operation and safety procedure especially for operating in China.

JSC is a well-established business jet ground handling company in China for years have experienced many major safeguard events, yet the current outbreak of novel coronavirus added tension to the already peak period with business jet movement sky rocked during the Chinese New Year holiday. It has brought to the entire industry in China a lot of challenges.

As one of strongest handling company in China, JSC pays close attention to all the relevant policies and guidelines issued by authorities including CAAC and maintaining close contact with the business jet operators to ensure their flight operation in China is smooth.

As of now, there are adjustments taken place in China, they are as follows:

  • For all airports in China, international or domestic flights, temperature check for all passengers in the FBO and VIP Lounge is mandatory;

  • For all airports in China, all passengers arriving from or departing for international flights must have Health declaration forms submitted;

  • Business jet’s VIP lounge of Shanghai Pudong Airport ZSPD and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport ZSGG are closed until further notice. All business jet passengers are to use main terminal for customs and immigration clearance;

  • Wuhan Tianhe International Airport ZHHH and Xiangyan Liuji Airport ZHXF only accept business jet flights with special diplomatic approval;

  • Qinhuangdao Airport ZBDH, Lijiang Airport ZPLZ and Dali Airport ZPDL has stopped accepting International business jet flights.

With immediately effect, JSC has launched an internal emergency outbreak prevention system, they are as follows:

  • Reduce of out-port travel ensuring manpower and attention is prioritised for its main operational base such as airports in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou;

  • During this period, travel history of all employees are recorded tracking all their movement managing the risk of contamination;

  • All employees are required to wear medical surgical masks or N95 masks and carry disinfection wipes with them While on duty. physical contact such as handshakes with the passengers and crew Will only be allowed once completed self-disinfection procedure.

Based on previous safety experience during SARS and other major infectious diseases, JSC encourage business jet operators to:

  • All crew members to wear masks during the flight operation and always have their health declaration completed;

  • All the passengers and flight crews pay attention to guidelines of the airports they are visiting, and follow the prevention procedure by staff, and answer truthfully on all health status related questions;

  • It is recommended that operators to more frequently clean cabin thoroughly to ensure safe environment for passengers and crew.
